Youth Ambassador Program at the USA Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Youth Ambassador for the USA Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka!
NOTE: The application deadline has been extended to TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2024 at 11:59pm ET.
Sister Cities International and the U.S. Department of State are recruiting 88 outstanding Youth Ambassadors (YAs) who reflect the rich diversity of the United States. YAs will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience working during the USA Pavilion at Expo 2025.
Each application will undergo a review process, and for those who advance to the next round, a panel interview. To complete this application, you'll be asked to provide:
- contact information of 2 references (they will be sent a simple electronic reference form once you FULLY SUBMIT your application)
- your current resume or CV
- an official or unofficial transcript of your current or most recently completed degree
- a "one-way interview" video submission of yourself (max. 3 minutes)
- any supporting documents to support language abilities (you may also demonstrate in your video)
Selected Youth Ambassadors will be split into three cohorts (dates subject to change):
- Full-Term cohort: March 26, 2025 - October 15, 2025*
- Spring 2025 cohort: March 26, 2025 - July 23, 2025
- Fall 2025 cohort: July 12, 2025 - October 15, 2025
A Youth Ambassador Launch event will be held in Fort Worth, TX from Saturday, March 22 to Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Though there will be days off and leave included, Youth Ambassadors will be expected to serve at the pavilion on some weekends and including some or all national or religious holidays or celebrations. The World Expo 2025 Osaka will open April 13, 2025 and close October 13, 2025. A full FAQ can be found HERE.
